Our setup for Maklay Food & Beverages is part of the M.K. Mackar Pillai & Co. over at Hameed Estate in Ashokapuram Aluva. Being in Ernakulam, we get a lot of humidity, so the fans are always on full blast in the warehouse. This place has a lot of history behind it, and you can see it in the walls and the old gates. We work on food and drink products, mostly staying focused on the manufacturing side. It’s a big estate, so there’s always something happening in the other sections too. We have a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We show up, check the batches, and get the packing lines moving. It’s a lot of physical work, moving crates and checking seals. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of our day is spent on the floor or talking to the drivers. The estate is a bit out of the main city rush, which makes it easier for the trucks to get in and out. We’ve got a small office near the entrance where we keep the records. It’s a bit cluttered with old files, but we know where everything is. It’s just a steady, local business trying to do things the right way without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been here in Aluva for years and don't plan on going anywhere else.
