Excellent Fisheries Private Limited

Our place is Building No. XXIII/1804 on Binny Road in Palluruthy. It's right in the middle of everything in Ernakulam. Excellent Fisheries Private Limited is what we call ourselves, and the work is exactly what you’d expect from a fishery. It’s cold inside because of the ice. We handle a lot of fish every single day. The trucks come in from the harbor, and we have to get everything moved quickly before it gets warm. It’s a lot of boots and rubber aprons. The floors are always wet. We don’t have much in the way of a front office, just a small corner where we keep the books. Most of the action is out on the floor. Binny Road is always busy with other businesses doing the same thing. You can smell the salt and the sea from a mile away. We work long hours, starting well before the sun comes up. That’s when the best catch arrives. It’s physical work and it can be pretty exhausting. We don’t talk much about excellence or stuff like that; we just focus on getting the crates packed and moved. It’s a simple operation, really. We’ve got a good group of people who have been doing this for years. We just keep the ice machines running and the fish moving out to where they need to go. Ernakulam-682006 is our area. It's just a busy, loud, wet place to work, but it pays the bills for everyone.
