We are based at Vadasseriyil House, No. 8/266 in Cherai. It’s in the Pallipuram North Paravoor area of Ernakulam. Aquaticastle Sea Foods Private Limited is the name on our registration. Cherai is known for its water, so it makes sense for us to be here. We work out of the house and the space around it. It’s mostly about processing the seafood that comes in from the local area. We spend a lot of time cleaning and packing. It’s a family-style environment, not a cold factory. We have some people from the neighborhood who come in to help when things get busy. The house is old but it works for what we need. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just handle the fish and make sure the deliveries are ready for the trucks. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy, but we wash it down at the end of every shift. It’s a lot of early mornings. You have to be ready when the fish is ready, you can't wait around. We just do the same routine every day. It’s quiet in Cherai during the off-season, which is nice. We just keep the business running without making too much of a fuss. Ernakulam-683514 is where we’re at. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don't worry about being fancy, we just get the crates ready. That's life for us.
