Aquatic Floating Resort

Our place is No 4-360A on the road that goes from Kumbalangi to Chellanam Beach. If you know the area in Ernakulam, we are right near the Kumbalangi petrol pump. Being out here in Puthankary is different from the city. It’s mostly water and trees. Aquatic Floating Resort is exactly what it sounds like. We have stuff floating on the water because that’s the land we have. It’s not a fancy hotel with a lobby and people in suits. It’s more of a place where you see the backwaters every time you look out. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the buses go by, but once you step inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the water. We spend a lot of time cleaning things because the salt air and the humidity from the lake really get onto everything. It’s a lot of work to keep a place like this running. Sometimes the fish jump right near where we sit. People come here because they want to see the village side of Kerala. We live here and work here, so we don't really think of it as a tourist spot, just our daily workplace. The petrol pump is the best landmark if you get lost. Most people around here know where the floating rooms are. It’s a simple setup, nothing too complicated or over the top.
