Our college is located right on the Main Road in Draksharamam, at number 5-62. It’s a busy spot in East Godavari, especially when the shops nearby open up. Prathibha Juniour And Degree College isn't tucked away; we are right in the middle of everything. You can hear the traffic and the people passing by all day long. The building is a standard multi-story structure with plenty of stairs. Students are always rushing up and down between their junior college classes and their degree lectures. We have a lot of ceiling fans that make a clicking sound in the afternoon heat. The staff room is a small space where we sit and eat our lunch while talking about the day. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have a big lawn, but the students find their own spots to hang out during the breaks. The walls are painted a light color that has faded a bit over the years. Being in Andhra Pradesh, the humidity can be quite something, so we keep the windows open. The pin code here is 533262. People know us as a local landmark because we've been at this address for a while. It’s not about being fancy or having the latest equipment. We just provide the space and the books, and the students do the rest. It is a very normal, everyday sort of college for the local youth here in Draksharamam.
