Brilliant School

If you head down toward Matsavaram in East Godavari, you will find Brilliant School. It is tucked away in a quiet spot which is good for the kids because there isn't too much noise from the main roads. We have been running this place for quite some time now. Most of the staff live nearby, so they just walk or take a cycle to get here every morning. It’s a local school through and through. We don't spend a lot on flashy advertisements because people in Matsavaram already know who we are. The building is a solid one, painted every few years when we have the extra funds. Inside, you will see a lot of drawings on the walls made by the students. Having their own work up is better than some store-bought posters. The classrooms have enough light, which is important during those long afternoons. We deal with the usual stuff like leaky taps or squeaky doors just like any other place. It’s not a corporate office; it’s a school. We know the names of the parents and which kids have a long walk home. Sometimes the weather gets very hot here in East Godavari, so we make sure there is plenty of cool water available for everyone. It’s a straightforward life here. We just focus on getting the lessons done and making sure the children behave. The school bell rings at the same time every single day. We don't have fancy sirens, just the old bell. It's a nice sound that everyone in the neighborhood recognizes. We keep things simple and honest here.
