This school is situated in the Driver’s Colony area of Gokavaram. It's a local place where children from the neighborhood come to learn. I’m often there early to open the doors. The address is tied to the community here. It’s a simple building, nothing too big or modern. We have a few rooms where the different classes meet. The furniture is basic, mostly benches and tables that have been around for quite a while. We don’t have air conditioning, so we rely on the breeze and the ceiling fans to stay cool. Sometimes when it’s really hot, it’s hard for the kids to focus, but we manage. My role involves a bit of everything, from checking the attendance to making sure there’s enough chalk for the boards. We see the same faces every day, and you get to know the families living in the colony. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution. There are no grand gates or marble floors here. It’s just a place for learning the basics like math and reading. We have a small area outside where the kids play during their lunch break. It gets quite dusty, but they don't seem to mind much. We just keep going, day after day, trying to make sure the school stays open and the children are looked after while they are with us in Egdt. It’s a busy life.
