Vishal Asia Steel Products is based at 25, Mahila Colony, in the Gandhi Nagar area. If you know Delhi, you know Gandhi Nagar is famous for being a hub of activity. We’re right in the thick of it. The streets are narrow and always full of rickshaws and delivery carts. Our place is basically a warehouse and a small office space combined. It’s mostly filled with steel products stacked up, waiting to be moved. We don’t have a fancy showroom because that’s not really how we operate. We’re more about moving the goods and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. It’s dusty work and can be quite loud when we’re loading up trucks. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our business is done over the phone or just face-to-face with people we’ve known for years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished brochures. We just sell steel products and try to be fair about it. The colony has a lot of energy, and we’ve been part of it for quite a while. It’s a tough environment sometimes, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and get the job done. Every morning we open up and start the process all over again. That's just how the steel business is.
