Our workshop is over in the Patparganj industrial area at number 346. We work with different types of metals all day long. It's a noisy place with the sound of cutting and grinding happening all the time. The floors are usually covered in small metal shavings despite our efforts to sweep up. We’ve been in this F.I.E. section for a long time. There are lots of other factories around here so there is always a lot of dust and trucks moving about. We handle various metal parts and sometimes it gets quite hot near the machines. We wear our boots and try to stay safe. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and some old blueprints. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we are more focused on getting the metalwork done. People send us designs and we try to make them as close as possible. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing them instead of working on the metal. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We have a small crew and we’ve all worked together for years. We know the sounds the machines make when they are running right. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve grown used to.
