Hindustan Metals Pvt. Ltd. is located in Laxmi Nagar, very close to Ahira Sweets. That sweet shop is a big landmark, so we usually just tell people to look for that and then they find us easily. We work with different kinds of metals every day. Our yard is usually stacked with pipes, sheets, and rods. It’s heavy, dirty work and your hands get stained pretty quickly. We don’t mind it though. We’ve been operating out of this Laxmi Nagar spot for years. The area is always crowded with people and rickshaws, so getting our delivery trucks in and out is always a bit of a challenge. Our office is just a small room with a fan and a few chairs for visitors. We keep the registers and the scales there. We aren't the kind of company that has big presentations or fancy slogans. We just sell metal. People come in, ask for a certain weight or size, and we cut it or load it up for them. It is a very direct way of doing business. The guys working in the yard are strong and they know their stuff. We’ve seen the neighborhood grow and change around us, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a practical life, and we are happy to be a part of the local community here near the sweets shop. We mostly just keep to ourselves and do the daily work without any unnecessary complications or drama.
