Samara Exports India is tucked away at 67 9 in West Azad Nagar, which is part of the Krishna Nagar area. It’s not a big corporate headquarters. We operate out of a modest building on a street that gets pretty busy with scooters and delivery vans. Most of our day is spent dealing with boxes. We’re either taping them up, labeling them, or moving them toward the door. There’s always a stack of pallets somewhere taking up space. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but there’s a logic to the mess. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists to make sure everything is where it should be. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise early in the morning. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just handle the shipping and the logistics ourselves. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve gotten quite fast at it over the years. Some days the heat makes the warehouse feel a bit stuffy, so we leave the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the orders go out on time and the paperwork is correct. It’s a practical business run by people who aren't afraid of a bit of heavy lifting.
