S K Steel & Electrical Store

You can find us at Plot No. 13 in Anand Vihar, right in the Saini Enclave area. We are directly opposite Karkar Dooma. We have been running this steel and electrical store for quite a while now. It is a typical local shop where we keep everything from electrical wires and switches to steel pipes and fittings. The shelves are pretty high, so we are always climbing ladders to get stuff down for customers. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes piled up. We do not have a computer system to tell us where everything is, we just know by heart. Most of our customers are local contractors or people from the neighborhood trying to fix something in their house. We give advice when we can, like which wire is better for a ceiling fan or what kind of pipe will not rust. It is a noisy neighborhood with the traffic from Karkar Dooma, but we are used to it. We open early in the morning because that is when the workers like to pick up their supplies. My brother and I run the place together. We do not have a fancy website or anything like that. We just have our shop sign and a landline that rings all day. Sometimes we sit out front on plastic chairs when it is quiet. We have seen a lot of people grow up in this area.
