R. S. Steel Works

We are located at Plot 16 in Shastri Park. It's right there in Chandan Nagar, not far from the government school. You can usually hear the sound of metal being worked on if you’re walking nearby. R. S. Steel Works isn't a massive factory, just a local shop where we deal with all sorts of steel stuff. Most days it’s just us cutting pipes or welding frames together for people in the neighborhood who need things for their homes. The shop floor is always covered in a bit of dust and metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of working with steel all day. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The school kids walk past every afternoon when classes let out and it gets a bit crowded on the street, but we manage. We have a few welding machines and a big cutter that gets a lot of use. People come to us when they need a gate fixed or some rods cut to size for a project. We don't do anything too fancy, just solid work that holds up over time. Sometimes we run out of space when a big order comes in, so we have to move things around carefully. It's a bit of a squeeze but we make it work. The guys here know their way around a torch and we just take things one day at a time. It’s honest labor and it keeps us going.
