I work out of my place at Mansara Apartment in Vasundhara Enclave. It is flat A-104. Operating from a home office in Delhi-96 is quite different from being in a commercial hub. It’s a lot quieter, for one thing. I don't have a big sign outside or a lobby full of people. It is just me and my workspace. I handle all the professional tasks myself, from answering the emails to doing the actual work. Vasundhara Enclave is a nice, green part of the city, and having the office here makes the workday feel a lot less stressful. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and most of the people I work with have been with me for years. They know they can just call me directly. I don't have a secretary or any assistants. When you call, you talk to me. The desk is usually covered in papers and there is always a half-finished cup of tea somewhere. I like the independence of it. I don't have to worry about corporate meetings or office politics. I just sit down, do what needs to be done, and then I’m finished for the day. Sometimes the neighbor's kids are playing outside and it gets a bit noisy, but that’s just part of being in an apartment complex. It’s a very simple, honest way to make a living and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is just the way things are here.
