Green Gallery

You can find Green Gallery at S-518 in the School Block on Vikas Marg. We are right in the middle of Shakarpur. It’s a busy area, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We have a lot of stuff packed into this space. It’s mostly plants and things related to them. Sometimes it’s hard to move around without bumping into a pot or a bag of soil. We started this because we wanted something different than a regular office job. It’s a lot of watering and checking leaves and making sure everything stays alive. Not every plant makes it, and that’s just part of the job. We don't have any professional decorators or anything like that. It’s just us figuring out where things look okay. People from the neighborhood come in and ask for advice, and we tell them what we know, even if we don't have all the answers. The floor is usually a bit damp from the watering, and there’s always a bit of dirt under our fingernails. We aren't some big garden center. We’re just a small shop on a busy street. It gets crowded on weekends when people have time off. We just try to keep things green and healthy as best we can. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns being here. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if it’s a lot of physical labor. Most of our tools are old and have seen better days.
