B K Steel Welding Work

B K Steel Welding Work is situated in Karkardooma R-1, and you can usually find us by following the sound of metal hitting metal. It is a noisy shop, filled with the smell of burnt iron and the bright flashes from the welding torches. We have piles of steel rods and flat sheets leaning against the walls, and the floor is always covered in small scraps and dark dust. We spend our days fixing gate hinges, putting together window grills, or welding frames for whatever people bring in. It is hard work, and our hands are usually stained with grease and soot by lunch time. The shop is open to the street, so we see everyone passing by in Karkardooma, though most people keep their distance because of the sparks. We don’t have a fancy office; we just have a small desk in the corner covered in measurements and scribbled notes on scraps of paper. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour just getting the welder to behave properly. It is hot work, especially in the summer months when the metal gets warm just sitting there. But we like working with the steel and seeing something solid come together from a few loose pieces. It is just a regular workshop where we get things done with our tools and a bit of sweat every day.
