Uma Public School is right in the middle of Supela. We are in Block No. 40, on Street 18. If you’ve been to Durg, you know Supela is always buzzing with people and shops. It’s a very active area. Our school is tucked into one of those streets. It’s not a huge campus with a running track. It’s a compact building that fits into the neighborhood. Because we are in such a busy spot, there is always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a couple of days. We have students from all the blocks around here. The classrooms are close together, and the hallways can be a bit tight when the bell rings. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. We use what we have and make it work. The furniture is sturdy but old. Most of our staff lives within walking distance, so we are very much a part of the local scene. We see the same people every day at the tea stall or the grocery store. It’s a very down-to-earth place to work. We don't try to impress anyone with big words or polished looks. We just provide a place for the kids in Supela to learn their lessons.
