Kishore Public School is situated in Ashtha Kunj, which is a quiet enough part of Durg. We’ve been operating out of this location for quite some time now. The building is a simple structure that fits right into the neighborhood. When you walk inside, you will see the classrooms lined up along the main hallway. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, just a place where kids come to learn their lessons. I’m usually around the front office if anyone needs anything, though I spend a lot of my time checking on the rooms or talking to the staff about the week's schedule. We have a small yard where the kids gather for assembly in the morning. Sometimes the speakers act up, and we have to shout a bit to be heard, but we manage. Durg can get pretty hot, so we make sure the fans are working and there is plenty of water for everyone. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we're just a local school serving the people nearby. The parents often stop by to chat about how their kids are doing or to pay the monthly fees. It’s a very hands-on way to run things. We don’t have a huge administrative team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from fixing furniture to organizing the library books. It’s a steady life, and we take pride in seeing the kids grow up and move on to high school after they leave us.
