Bhoramdeo Public School

Out here in Charkhura Kalan, things are pretty straightforward at Bhoramdeo Public School. We are situated near National Highway 130A, so we get plenty of dust from the trucks passing by all day. It’s a bit of a walk from the main part of Kabirdham for some, but most people manage. The school is just a collection of rooms and a playground that gets quite dry in the summer months. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights, just the building where we spend our hours. Most days involve checking the registers and making sure the fans are working. We have a small office where we keep the files, and it’s usually piled high with papers that need sorting. The kids bring a lot of energy to the place, which is good because it can get a bit quiet otherwise. Sometimes we have to deal with minor repairs, like a broken window or a door that won't shut right. It's part of the job of running a school in this part of the country. You can see the highway from the upper windows, and the sound of horns is just part of the background noise now. We try to keep the garden patches green, but the soil here is tough. It’s a practical place, nothing more and nothing less, just doing what we can with what we have in this corner of the state.
