Our office for Steel Authority Of India Ltd. is at G-10 in the Chpl Dream Homes complex on Junwani Main Road in Bhilai. We are situated near the Apollo Bsr Hospital, which is a major landmark in this part of town. Bhilai is another one of those cities where steel is everything. Being on Junwani Main Road means there’s always people and cars moving past. The office itself is part of a residential and commercial mix, so it feels quite local. We aren't tucked away in some big industrial park; we’re right where people live. We handle a lot of the day-to-day logistics and personnel things from here. It’s a functional space, nothing too fancy. We have the usual desks and computers, and the walls are mostly covered with calendars and schedules. The heat in Chhattisgarh can be really intense, so we try to get most of our heavy work done in the cooler mornings. We don't use a lot of big words or corporate talk. We just tell it like it is. We spend our days making sure the paperwork for the steel orders is correct. There’s a lot of coordination with the transport guys. Most of us have worked here for years and we’ve seen the area grow quite a bit. It’s a busy, practical environment where we just focus on getting through the list of tasks for the day and keeping everything running.
