We are located at 260 B, in the II SA Type area of the Rajhara Iron Ore Complex. This is part of the Steel Authority Of India Limited, specifically tied to the Bhilai Steel Plant. Being out here in Dalli Rajhara means we are close to the source of everything. The iron ore is what makes the steel possible, so we are right where the ground gives up the raw materials. It’s a bit of a trek for some, being out in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh, but it’s home for us. The office isn't much to look at, just a standard block in the complex where we keep the records straight. We deal with the mining side and the transportation mostly. It’s a dusty place, especially when the trucks are moving, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with iron ore. We have been here for years, watching the landscape change as the work progresses. The people who work here are local folks who understand the rhythm of the mine. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the ore gets where it needs to go so the plant can keep running. It’s a vital part of the chain, even if it’s just a small office in the complex. We take our work seriously but we keep the atmosphere casual and friendly. There is always a pot of coffee going.
