Sail, Bhilai Steel Plant

Our location at 1A, Street-20 in Sector-10 has a lot of years behind it. There is actually a date, 4.10.1952, that stays in the back of our minds when we think about how long this whole Sail, Bhilai Steel Plant operation has been part of the landscape. Sector-10 is a solid area to be in. The streets are laid out in a way that makes sense once you have lived here for a month or two. Our building at 1A is not hard to spot if you are looking for it, but it blends in with the rest of the street if you are just passing by. We have some tall trees nearby that give a bit of shade during those really hot Bhilai afternoons when the sun is just beating down on everything. Inside, it is mostly papers, some old cabinets, and the sound of people talking about the day’s schedule. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is a working environment through and through. The air gets a bit dusty sometimes because of all the activity around the plant, but that is just part of being in this town. We have grown used to the sounds of the machinery in the distance. It is like a steady hum that tells you everything is moving along like it should. We just focus on our bit of the work and try to keep things organized at the office.
