We have been here on Khokha Khurd Road for a while now. Most mornings start early before the Bhilai sun gets too hot. You can see the kids coming in through the main gate, some looking sleepy and others running ahead of their parents. It’s a busy place in Durg. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving. The classrooms are full of noise during the breaks and quiet when lessons are on. We try to keep the grounds tidy, though the wind blows dust in quite a bit. Teachers here have their own ways of doing things. Some are strict and some are more relaxed, but everyone shows up and does their part. We have the usual desks and blackboards you'd expect. Lunchtime is probably the loudest part of the day when everyone is out in the yard. Sometimes the bells don’t ring exactly on time because someone forgot, but we fix it pretty quick. It is just a normal school where children come to learn their subjects and hang out with friends. We don't have fancy stuff, just what is needed for the day. Living and working in this part of Bhilai means we know the local families well. You see the same faces every morning at the gate. It's a routine that works for us and the people living around here. It's not always perfect, but we make it work somehow.
