Neeraj Hr. Sec. School

Our school, Neeraj Hr. Sec. School, is sitting right at 149, Ward No 3 in Math Para. If you know the Gaya Nagar area, we are on Street No 2. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the narrow lanes and the houses built so close together. You can hear the neighbors cooking or their radios playing sometimes while we’re working. The school is part of the community, really. We’ve got this old gate that squeaks a bit when you open it, and the courtyard isn't huge, but it's where everything happens. Every morning starts with the same sounds of bags clattering and teachers calling out. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual stuff like paperwork and fixing up old furniture. It’s not a corporate office, that’s for sure. It’s more like a second home for those of us who spend ten hours a day here. The street outside can get pretty dusty, and there’s always someone passing by on a motorbike. We’ve got students coming in from all over Gaya Nagar Jds. The walls are covered in some old charts and drawings that have been there forever. We don’t try to make things look perfect because life isn't like that. We just try to make sure the building is open and the lights are on. It's just a regular school in a busy ward of Durg, doing what schools do.
