Mahamaya Steel Industries

Out here in Risali Sector 283/D, things move at their own pace. Durg is a heavy industrial area, so there is always some noise or smoke in the air around Mahamaya Steel Industries. We spend a lot of time on the shop floor where the real work happens. It is loud and hot, especially near the furnaces, but you get used to it after a few years. Our team is mostly local guys from Chhattisgarh who have been working with metal since they were young. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on getting the steel right. The office is tucked away in one corner of the building, and it's usually piled high with site reports and delivery notes. Sometimes the rain in Durg makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we manage to keep the trucks moving. It is a 24-hour kind of operation sometimes when the orders are high. We have some old machines that need a lot of grease and a few newer ones that are a bit more temperamental. It's not a glamorous life, but it's what we know. People come to us because they know we've been sitting in this same spot in Sector 283/D for a long time. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. It's a lot of sweat and hard work, but we take pride in the heavy stacks of steel we produce.
