Our office in Nehru Nagar West has been part of the Bhilai landscape for a good stretch of time. Being at 55/9, we’re tucked into a spot that feels more like a neighborhood than a cold industrial zone. Jayaswal Neco is a big name, but here on the ground, we’re just a small crew managing the daily grind. The morning starts with someone opening the shutters and maybe getting some poha from the stall nearby. Bhilai is a steel town through and through, and you can feel that energy even in a quiet office setting. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It isn't always exciting, honestly. There are days when the humidity makes everything feel slow, but the work doesn't stop. We have old metal cupboards full of records and a few chairs that have seen better days. It’s practical. No one wears fancy suits here unless there’s a big reason to. We talk about the weather, the local news, and then get back to whatever needs doing. It’s about getting the job done without making a fuss. Sometimes we stay late when a project is peaking, and other times we’re out the door right on time to beat the traffic. It’s a simple life at the Bhilai office, just people working together to keep the wheels turning. We usually have a bit of a laugh over tea before heading home for the night.
