Even though we are listed under Ispat Industries Ltd. Bombay, our actual base of operations is way over in Bhilai. We are located at House Number 1582 in the Tata Line area of Kohka. It is a bit of a distance from Mumbai, but this is where the action is for us in the Durg district. The neighborhood is very industrial, which makes sense given our line of work. Living and working in the Tata Line means you’re always around the steel industry vibe. Our office is a simple house converted into a workspace. It’s honest work, mostly dealing with the local logistics and the workers in the area. We don't have fancy signs or a glass building. It’s just a place where we get together, check the schedules, and make sure things are moving. The dust from the industrial units nearby is just something we’ve gotten used to over the years. We take our tea breaks at the small stalls on the corner and talk about the day's tasks. It’s a long way from the Bombay head office, but we manage fine. There is a lot of history in this part of Chhattisgarh when it comes to metal and industry. We are just one small part of that big machine. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just focus on our specific tasks and try to keep things organized despite the chaos of the busy workdays.
