Essar Steel

Essar Steel is located at Plot No: 100, Street-14 in Shantinagar, Bhilai. We are in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh, 490001. Everyone knows that Bhilai is a major place for the steel industry, so it feels right for us to be working here. Our spot in Shantinagar is a bit quieter than the massive factory gates, but we still handle a lot of metal every day. The yard stays filled with different steel products, from thin sheets to big heavy beams. We spend a lot of our time measuring things and making sure the lengths are exactly what was asked for. The air in Bhilai has that industrial smell to it, but we have lived here so long we don't even notice it anymore. We don't have a sales team or a fancy showroom. It’s just us in our regular work clothes handling the logistics of the yard. There is a small desk where we keep our phone and the invoices. The phone rings a lot with people asking about the daily prices or if we have a certain item in stock. We just give them a straight answer based on what we see out in the yard. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around with hooks. In the summer, the metal gets so hot you can’t touch it without your gloves. We just keep working because there’s always someone needing steel.
