Bhilai Steel Plant, Sail

We are based out of Quarter 7-B on Street 23 in Sector 10. It is a quiet enough corner of Bhilai, at least as quiet as a steel town gets. Working for SAIL means you are part of a very old tradition of heavy industry in India. Every morning, we head out and the plant is right there, looming over everything. We deal with the day-to-day operations of the Bhilai Steel Plant. It is not a clean job, you usually go home with grease or soot on your clothes, but that is just how it is. We have been at this address for a long time. The house is a standard government quarter, nothing special to look at, but it works for us. We handle the steel orders, the maintenance schedules, and the regular grind of the factory floor. There is a lot of history in these walls and on these streets. You see the same faces every day, people who have spent their whole lives working the furnaces. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or trying to impress anyone. We just focus on the output and making sure the steel is right. The district of Durg is built on this industry, and we are just doing our part to keep it going. It is a simple life centered around the heavy machinery and the steel production. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way.
