Agbandha Tea Industry Producer Company Limited is based at Dag No. 183 in Agbandha Bengali Gaon. We are close to the Pawoi Bazar and Makum Pathar. Our work revolves around the tea gardens. We are a group of producers who came together to manage our own tea processing. The land here at Dag 183 is where we do most of our sorting and drying. It’s a busy place, especially during the peak season when the leaves are growing fast. We don't have a big corporate headquarters. Our office is just a room with some benches and a lot of paperwork. We spend more time outside than inside anyway. The walk to Pawoi Bazar is where we see most of our neighbors. Everyone here knows about tea, so we don't have to explain ourselves much. We just focus on getting the work done. The heat can be quite intense in the afternoons, so we start very early in the morning when the dew is still on the plants. We are just a local company trying to make a living from what we grow. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just farming and processing tea. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and we are proud of the work we put in every day. We are here most days.
