All India Steel Rerollers Association (Aisra)

You can find us out on Bhadla Road, right near Bhodey Kanda. We’re an association for the steel rerollers. It sounds a bit official, but really we’re just a group that helps people in this specific line of work stay connected. The steel industry has a lot of moving parts, and rerolling is a big piece of it. We spend our time answering questions from members and keeping an eye on what’s happening in the trade. It’s not always exciting, mostly just emails and phone calls and the occasional meeting to talk about rules or supply issues. The office is a bit out of the way, but it works for us. We don't try to be something we're not. We just want to make sure the guys running the mills have someone to talk to when things get complicated with regulations or market shifts. It’s a lot of practical stuff, not much for show. We’ve been around for a good while, and most people in the steel world know where to find us if they need help with industry standards. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just desks, files, and people who understand the grit of the steel business. Sometimes the road gets a bit rough out this way, but we’re always here. It’s about keeping the industry moving forward, one day at a time, without any fuss.
