Bdk Hotels & Resorts

We run Bdk Hotels & Resorts from a place called Mukti, which is actually a house on the 3rd Cross Road in Saptapur. Dharwad is a nice, calm town and being in the Saptapur area makes it even better. The office is really just a part of Shri Harsh Desai’s property. We do not have a big glass building or a fancy reception area. It is just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of talk about how the hotels and resorts are doing. Running a hospitality business means the phone never really stops ringing. Someone is always checking on a booking or asking about a room. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the staff at different locations. Sometimes we sit out on the porch to discuss the day's plans because it is cooler there. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it is quiet except for the school kids walking by in the afternoon. We have been doing this for a while now and have learned that things rarely go exactly as planned. You just have to fix the problems as they come up. We do not have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It is just us here in Dharwad trying to make sure the guest rooms are clean and the food is ready on time. It is a simple life and a simple way of doing business. We just keep at it every day.
