Agilam Farmer Producer Company Limited

Agilam Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out at 4/157, Somanahallipappinayakanahalli(Po) in Palacode. Even the name of the place is a mouthful, but it is home to us. It’s a very rural area, and our office is just a simple building. We have a few benches outside where the farmers sit and wait to talk to us. We handle all sorts of things related to the local crops. Palacode is known for its agriculture, so we are right in the middle of it. Our day starts early, usually before the sun is too hot. We have a lot of paperwork to keep track of everyone’s contributions. The files are a bit disorganized sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. It is just us and the people from the village. We talk about the price of tomatoes or how the monsoon is looking. There is a lot of mud around the office during the rainy season. We just scrape our boots and keep going. It’s a simple life, focused on the ground and what grows out of it. We are just a group of people from Somanahalli trying to make the collective work. It isn't always easy, but we show up every day. We usually end the day with some tea and talk about the next harvest.
