Working As An Independent Creative Consultant

I’m based out of Sat Nagar in Karol Bagh, specifically on the third floor. It’s a typical Delhi neighborhood, always some noise from the street below. Being an independent creative consultant means I don’t have a big office full of people. It’s mostly just me and my laptop, surrounded by books and some old sketches. Karol Bagh is a hectic place to be, but it’s home for the work I do. I’ve been doing this for a while now, sitting here and coming up with ideas for different people who need help with their projects. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit steep, so I don’t get many walk-in visitors, which is fine by me. Most of my talking happens over email or when I go out to meet folks at cafes nearby. The lighting in the room isn’t great in the mornings, but it gets better by noon. I don’t have a fancy website or a big sign outside. Just a small space where I can think and draw. Sometimes I get stuck on an idea and just go for a walk down the lane to clear my head. New Delhi is full of energy, and being right here in the middle of it helps when you’re trying to stay creative. It’s a simple life, just one project after another. I usually work until late at night when it finally gets quiet and I can actually think straight without the traffic.
