Uday Media Pvt Ltd operates out of A-65 in the Ordnance Apartment complex over in H-Block, Vikas Puri. Being in a residential apartment setup makes the workday feel a bit different than if we were in a big office tower downtown. It’s more relaxed and we know the people living around us. We do media work, which means our days are never really the same from one to the next. Some days we are very busy editing or writing, and other times we are just planning for the next week. Vikas Puri is a nice enough area but it can get quite crowded during the rush hours. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time now. The rooms are filled with desks, books, and papers. We don't have a receptionist or a coffee machine that makes fancy lattes. We just use a regular kettle and make our own tea when we need a break. It’s a simple setup. We don't really believe in those long meetings that don't go anywhere. We usually just talk across the room to get things sorted out quickly. People who work here live nearby mostly. We like that we don't have a huge commute every day. The work is steady and we have built up a decent rhythm over the years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide decent media services. It’s a local business through and through. We just show up and work.
