The Eventworkshop

Our spot is on the fourth floor of House Number 164 in Masjid Moth, South Ex-2. It’s a bit of a climb if the stairs are the only option that day, but we don't mind much as it keeps us moving. We call ourselves The Eventworkshop because that’s exactly what we do—we work on events from start to finish. Our office is usually a mess of boxes, samples, and stacks of papers because there’s always something being planned or packed up for a job. It’s not the kind of place where everything is perfectly in its spot, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time on our phones or running out the door to check on venues across New Delhi. Being in South Ex is great because it’s central, but the parking is a nightmare, so we usually tell people to take an auto if they’re coming to see us. We are just a small group of people who like putting things together for others. We aren't big-shot corporate planners with fancy suits; we are usually in jeans and t-shirts because we’re busy moving gear or setting up stages. It’s hard work and the hours can be pretty long, especially on weekends when everyone else is off. But we like the buzz of it all. Sometimes a plan falls through or a vendor is late, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. We keep it simple.
