Reliant Media Pvt. Ltd. is based on the third floor of D-93 in Amar Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar-4. It’s a walk-up building, so we all get a bit of a workout every time we come in for the day. The office is a decent size, but it feels smaller because we’ve got so much equipment and old furniture taking up space. Amar Colony is a lively spot, and you can always smell food from the nearby stalls coming through the windows. Our desks are a bit worn out, and the carpet has seen better days, but it’s a comfortable place to spend the day. We have a lot of books and magazines piled up in the corners, mostly things we’ve collected over the years. The light in the afternoons is actually quite nice, though it makes it hard to see the computer screens sometimes. It’s a very informal atmosphere here; we talk loudly across the room and share snacks whenever someone brings them in. There’s no big corporate lobby or anyone waiting to greet you at the door. You just come up the stairs and you’re right in the middle of the workspace. We spend our time here dealing with emails, making calls, and trying to keep everything on track. It’s just a normal Delhi office where a small group of people works hard and goes home once the sun sets over the colony. We don’t really worry about making everything look perfect, we just worry about getting it done.
