Our studio is located at 48, Bhawani Kunj, which is tucked behind D-2 in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. It is a bit of a hidden spot, which we actually quite like. Being away from the main traffic of the city makes it a lot easier to think and work. The area is relatively green and quiet compared to most parts of Delhi. Inside, the space is wide open with lots of tables for our drawings and models. We don't have fancy cubicles or anything like that. Everyone sits together. There is always a lot of tracing paper and pencils lying around. We spend a lot of time discussing things over a table rather than sending emails to each other. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. The walls are covered in sketches and photos from different things we have worked on. We have a small garden area outside where we sometimes go to take a break or have a quick talk. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby or a security guard. You just walk in and you are in the middle of our workspace. The air is usually filled with the sound of fans and people talking. We have been here for a long time, and the space has slowly filled up with more and more stuff over the years. It feels lived-in and real. We just focus on the work.
