Poise Events & Entertainment Pvt Ltd is based at 146-B on the second floor in Gautam Nagar, New Delhi. If you’ve ever been to Gautam Nagar, you know how packed the lanes can be, especially with all the students and small shops. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit steep, so carrying event equipment up and down is definitely a workout. The space is often filled with rolls of carpet, banners, and boxes of lights from various events we’ve worked on. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time on the phone, talking to vendors or trying to sort out logistics for a show. It’s a high-pressure job, but we don't act like a corporate machine. We’re just a group of people trying to make things happen on time. There’s no mission statement on the wall, just a calendar full of dates and scribbled notes. When it’s peak season, we are basically living in this office, surviving on snacks and endless cups of coffee. It’s noisy, it’s a bit messy, and there’s always something that needs fixing at the last minute. We like the energy of the neighborhood though, even if parking a car anywhere near the building is almost impossible most days. It’s just the way things are here.
