Operations Research Group Private Limited

Operations Research Group Private Limited is located in a somewhat unusual spot compared to most businesses. We are at 169 in the old Brahmaputra Hostel at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. Being on a campus like JNU gives the office a very specific feel. It is not like being in a glass tower in a business district. Instead, we are surrounded by students, academic buildings, and a lot of greenery. The hostel itself has its own history, and being in the "old" section means the rooms have a bit of character to them. We spend our time doing research and looking at data, which fits the atmosphere of the university quite well. Our office is usually quiet, filled with stacks of reports and files that have been collected over the years. We do not really do big marketing pushes or try to act like a giant corporation. We are more like a small group of researchers who just happen to have a private company. Most of us enjoy the walk through the campus in the morning, even when the Delhi weather is not being very kind. There is a lot of thinking that goes on here. We handle projects that require a lot of attention to detail, so the peaceful environment of the university helps us stay focused. It is a simple setup with basic desks and plenty of bookshelves. We just do our work, drink our tea, and try to make sense of the information we are looking at every day.
