Om Jee

Om Jee is located at Shop No 710 on Church Mission Road in the Fatehpuri area. This is one of the oldest and most crowded parts of the city, and you can feel that history as soon as you walk down the street. The shop is quite small, which is typical for Fatehpuri, but we make it work by stacking our goods all the way to the ceiling. Church Mission Road is always full of handcarts, rickshaws, and people carrying heavy loads on their shoulders. It is a very loud and energetic place to work every day. We open up early in the morning when the air is a bit cooler and the market is just starting to wake up. Our shop floor is usually a bit worn out from all the feet walking in and out. We don't have air conditioning, so we just use a few ceiling fans to keep the air moving during the hot months. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to this market for years. We handle our transactions in a very old-school way, often writing things down in a notebook rather than using a computer for everything. It is a simple operation. We focus on having the items people need in stock and being honest about what we have. There is no corporate polish here, just the reality of running a shop in a busy wholesale market. We like it here on Church Mission Road.
