We’ve been over here at House No. 4535 in Shora Kothi for a while now. If you know Pahar Ganj, you know how it gets with the narrow lanes and the constant noise from the market nearby. Our spot is right in the middle of all that chaos in New Delhi. It is not some big glass building, just a regular place where we get the work done. The NGO side of things keeps everyone busy. You can hear the tea stall downstairs and the rickshaws passing by all day long. It's a lot of walking up and down the stairs. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but that is just how things go in this part of town. People stop by to ask directions or just to see what we are doing inside this house. The 110055 pin code area is always moving. We have a few desks and some old files stacked up. It is mostly just us trying to keep things organized while the street outside never really quiets down. It gets hot in the summer, so the fans are always on full blast. There is no fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see people working on their laptops or talking on the phone. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood, not just some office that could be anywhere. We deal with whatever comes our way, day by day.
