Kapoor Tent And Light House

We have been running Kapoor Tent And Light House for a good while now from our spot in Janakpuri. You can find us at C-4F in the Dda Market, right on the back side of Tihar Jail. It is a part of Delhi that stays pretty busy, and we are right in the middle of it. We spend most of our time dealing with heavy iron poles, stacks of fabric, and those long strings of decorative lights. It is hard work, and my hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the gear. We do not have a fancy office or a big team of sales people. It is mostly just us and a few workers who know how to get the tents up fast. Sometimes the shop looks a bit cluttered when we have several bookings on the same day, but we know where everything is kept. People from the neighborhood just walk in when they have a wedding or a prayer meet coming up. We try to get the trucks loaded early, though the traffic near the jail can be a real headache some mornings. We have seen kids in this area grow up and then come back to us to book tents for their own marriages. It is a family thing, really. We do not do big advertisements. We just focus on getting the lights glowing and the tents standing straight. It is a simple life and we are okay with that.
