International Handicraft Collection

We are up on the first floor at Plot No D-2/9 in Model Town III. It is a residential looking area but there are a lot of small businesses like ours tucked away here. Being on the first floor means it is a bit quieter than the street level, which we like. We have quite a collection of handicrafts packed into the rooms here. Sometimes it feels like there is more stuff than space, especially when we get new stock in. We spend a lot of time checking each piece to make sure it looks okay before we put it away. Model Town is a nice place to work from, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so moving big crates can be a bit of a challenge. We mostly work with export items and different craft styles from across the country. It’s not a shiny corporate office. There are boxes stacked in corners and some tea cups usually sitting on the desks. We just get on with the work of sorting, packing, and making sure everything is ready for the customers. It’s a small team here and we’ve worked together for a long time. Every day is pretty much the same, just keeping track of the inventory and making sure the lights stay on. It’s a practical way to run things and we enjoy the daily routine of it.
