Anee Textiles & Exports

Our place, Anee Textiles & Exports, is over on Plot No. H-28 in Chander Nagar. It’s right on the main road in Shastri Nagar, so it’s pretty easy to spot once you get into the neighborhood and look for the gate. We handle a lot of different fabrics here every day. Some days it’s just piles of cloth everywhere and we are trying to get things packed for shipping before the trucks arrive. It gets quite dusty with all the textiles moving around, so we’re always sweeping the floors. It’s a family-run thing, mostly, and we've been at it for years. We’ve seen the road outside change a lot since we first opened. The traffic has definitely gotten much worse lately. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the material and making sure the export orders are ready. It’s not always easy keeping everything organized when there are so many different patterns and colors to keep track of. My cousin helps out with the logistics part of it when he's not busy elsewhere. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where stuff actually gets done by hand. If you come by, you’ll probably see us arguing over a shipping schedule or measuring out big rolls of cotton. We just try to keep the business moving and stay busy throughout the week. The tea stall next door is where we take our breaks and clear our heads for a few minutes.
