India Trade Promotion Organisation

Our office is located at 594 Padam Bahadur Mal Block. It’s inside the Asian Games Village in New Delhi. This place has a lot of history since it was built for the games years ago. We are the India Trade Promotion Organisation. We deal with trade fairs and exhibitions mostly. It’s a government-related setup, but we try to keep things moving as well as we can. The office is full of old desks and stacks of papers. It’s a large organization but our daily life is pretty quiet. We spend a lot of time planning where stalls should go and talking to different industries. Being in the Asian Games Village means there is a lot of green space around us, which is a nice change from the rest of Delhi. We don't really do marketing for ourselves. We just do our work. People know us because of the big events we help put on at places like Pragati Maidan. It’s a lot of logistics and coordination. There are many departments and sometimes it takes a while to get things approved. That’s just the way it is here. We are a bunch of regulars who have been working here for years. We know the routines. It’s not a flashy job, but it’s important for the trade stuff in the country. We just show up, do the filing, make the calls, and go home. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
