We are based at 46A in Kundan Nagar, right on Street 1. This part of New Delhi is pretty packed with houses and small businesses. Our office for HT Media Ltd. is tucked into this neighborhood. It’s not one of those massive media towers you see in the movies. It’s a much more practical, local setup. We have a lot of people working here in relatively small spaces. The desks are usually covered in newspapers, notebooks, and coffee mugs. It gets quite busy, especially when there’s a deadline approaching. You can hear the tapping of keyboards and people talking on their phones all day long. Street 1 is often crowded with bikes and people, so it can be a bit noisy outside, but we’re used to it by now. The building is just a standard brick structure. We have a small area for people to sit if they’re waiting, but it’s mostly just work areas. We don't have fancy art on the walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where we come to do our jobs and then head home. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles a bit in the peak of summer, but we make do with fans. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We know the local shopkeepers and where to get the best chai nearby. It’s just a regular office in a regular Delhi street, where the work comes first and things get done without any fuss.
