Our office is located at A-10 in Shakarpur, and the business is run by Uttam Chandra Madesia along with a small crew of us. Shakarpur is one of those areas in Delhi that is always crowded and full of energy. We do event work, which means our days are rarely the same. One day we might be sitting in the office making lists and calling vendors, and the next day we are out at a site somewhere else in the city. The office itself is quite basic. We have some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of folders full of plans. It can get a bit disorganized when we have several things going on at once, but we usually manage to find what we need. Doing events involves a lot of logistics and checking on things like tents, lights, and sound systems. It is not a glamorous job, despite what people might think about the event industry. There is a lot of heavy lifting and late-night coordination involved. We have had our share of stressful moments when things do not go exactly as planned, but that is just part of the business. We do not have a big corporate hierarchy here. We just talk to each other and figure out who is doing what. It is a practical way to work, and it seems to suit us just fine in this busy part of town.
