Friends Digital Colour Solutions is based out of A 37 on the first floor in Sunlight Colony II. This part of Ashram in New Delhi is always crowded with traffic and people moving toward the main roads. Being on the first floor means we get a decent view of the street below, but we also get all the noise from the vehicles. The office is full of printers and paper, and there is usually that smell of ink in the air. It’s a working space, so things are often a bit messy with proofs and color sheets lying around on the tables. We don’t have a big corporate setup. It is more like a place where friends come together to handle the digital work. The stairs leading up to the office are a bit narrow, and you have to watch your step. We’ve been in this 110014 area for a bit, so we are used to the rhythm of the colony. The light comes in through the windows in the afternoon, which helps when we are looking at color samples. There isn’t much in the way of decoration, just the stuff we need to get the jobs done for whoever walks through the door. It is a straightforward operation. We drink a lot of tea while the machines are running. It is just a local business trying to keep up with the daily orders in a busy part of town.
