Free Lance Media Planner

I work out of E-216 in Pragati Vihar, right on Lodhi Road in Delhi. Being a Free Lance Media Planner means I don't have a big corporate staff or a huge suite of offices. It is just me in this space, surrounded by planners, schedules, and a lot of industry news. The Pragati Vihar area is quite central, so it’s easy to get around Delhi when I need to meet someone, but mostly I am right here at my desk. Lodhi Road has a lot of history and nice trees, which is a good view when I need a moment to step away from the spreadsheets. I spend most of my time figuring out where ads should go and how to make the most of a budget. It involves a lot of math and even more negotiation. My office is basically just a computer, a phone, and a lot of notebooks filled with scribbles. There is no receptionist or fancy lobby. If the doorbell rings, it’s usually just a courier or someone with my lunch. I’ve been doing this for a while, and I like the independence of working from E-216. Delhi is a fast-paced city, especially in the media world, so staying organized is the only way to keep up. I just keep my head down and focus on the planning. It is a quiet existence but the work itself is pretty loud and busy most of the time.
